Ingredients: Bupleurum Root (Chai Hu), White Atractylodes Rhizome (Bai Zhu), Poria (Fu Ling), Chinese Angelica Root (Dang Gui), White Peony Root (Bai Shao), Licorice Root (Gan Cao), Peppermint (Bo He), Fresh Ginger Rhizome (Sheng Jiang), vegetable cellulose (capsule), vegetable starch (excipient). An excipient is a vehicle or medium for active substances such as the Chinese Herbs in Xiao Yao San, and is used to bind to the herbs to provide stability. This way the specific concentrations are more evenly distributed throughout the bottle, and more evenly absorbed in the body. An excipient is ultimately necessary to facilitate physiological absorption of the formula.
